Here’s Your Game Plan
1. Plan Ahead:
Create a menu and shopping list well in advance to avoid last-minute stress.
2. Prep in Advance:
Chop vegetables, bake desserts, and prepare side dishes a day or two before.
3. Delegate:
Don’t hesitate to ask family and friends to bring dishes or help with cooking.
4. Use A Timer:
Keep track of cooking times for all dishes to ensure nothing is overcooked or burned.
5. Stay Organized:
Keep your kitchen clean and organized, with all necessary utensils and ingredients within reach.
6. Keep It Simple:
Stick to a few key dishes and recipes you know well. Don’t try too many new recipes at once. If you do want to try out a new recipe, do a practice run a few days in advance.
7. Rest The Turkey:
Allow the turkey to rest for at least 20 minutes after cooking
to ensure juicy meat.
8. Clean Along The Way:
Wipe counters, put ingredients away, wash bowls and utensils and load the dishwasher as you go. This will not only make after dinner clean-up faster and easier, it will give you more time with friends and family after the meal.
9. Stay Calm:
If something goes wrong, take a deep breath and remember that it’s all about spending time with loved ones.
