Some ovens have a self cleaning feature while others are needed to be manually cleaned.
One of the most important things to be mindful of are your pets when running a self cleaning cycle, especially if you own birds.
Birds are highly sensitive to the fumes that emit from the oven when running the self clean cycle. Make sure you prepare proper ventilation before hand by opening windows and moving your pets to a properly ventilated room so that they are safe during this cleaning process.
