Garbage Disposal Tips

In this weeks episode of APPLIANCE MASTER LIVE, Bill and Kari talk about maintenance tips for your garbage disposal.

There are two different types of garbage disposals that are commonly found in homes; continuous feed and batch feed disposals.

Continuous feed disposals are when there is a switch generally on the wall that turns the unit on so you can continually feed food waste into and turn off when you’re done. Always make sure to use cold running water while the unit is running.

Batch feed disposals are when you put a lid on the disposal it turns on, once the lid is taken off the disposal turns off. These units are known to use more horsepower but are less common than continuous feed disposals.

Is your garbage disposal not working as efficiently as you’d like?

If you’re experiencing issues or have any questions with your garbage disposal give us a call, we’d love to help!
