Are You Ready To Dish Differently

Wash Daily For Savings:

Recent ads are encouraging you to run your dishwasher every day, even with smaller loads.

Why? Modern dishwashers use just 2-2.5 gallons of water per cycle, compared to your faucet’s 2.2 gallons per minute!

This means you’re conserving water and reducing the risk of dried-on food and unpleasant odors.

Scrape, Don’t Rinse:

Another tip is to scrape off food scraps but skip the rinse. While larger food particles might be broken down by the dishwasher, they could also clog the filter.

Rinsing wastes water and is unnecessary. Break the habit and trust your dishwasher to handle the job. Simply scrape off the excess, and let the dishwasher do the rest.

Check The Filter:

Your dishwasher has a filter designed to catch larger particles, preventing them from clogging the pump and spray arms.

Even if you’re diligent about scraping, residue from grease and protein can still build up.

Consult your manufacturer’s guide on how to clean the filter. Typically, you just need to remove it, rinse it under hot water, and reinstall.
