Water
Water: Unless the refrigerator is warm too, maybe there was a power outage and the circuit breaker tripped even though you have a generator.
If you’re lucky you can just reset the breaker. If the refrigerator is warm too, call Appliance Master for service right away.
Ice Crystals
Ice crystals, frost or freezer burn on food: This is usually caused by the temperature rising above 32 degrees in the freezer.
This could happen if someone left the door open by accident or the freezer’s too full and the door didn’t close properly.
Other air leaks could be caused by a damaged door seal. In the case of bottom freezers, if the drawer rails are bent or loose, they could prevent the door from sealing properly.
Ice
Ice can also build up inside the freezer: This can happen when there’s a self-defrost system issue.
Appliance Master technicians know how to correct this problem.
Mini-Iceberg
Is there a mini-iceberg in your icemaker? Your water valve or icemaker assembly has probably failed.
Call Appliance Master and have both components replaced for the most cost- and time-efficient repair.
Goo
Dark Green of Black Goo: This is usually a sign of a defrost system problem that impacts your refrigerator too.
Cleaning it up is a good idea, but that won’t solve the underlying problem. Your best bet is to call Appliance Master for service to find out exactly what’s causing the malfunction and determine the appropriate repair solution.
