In this episode of APPLIANCE MASTER LIVE – Bill, Kari and Mike talk about maintenance tips for your gas cooktop and oven.
There are many ways to handle cleaning your gas cooktops and ovens, one of the most important tips we are going to share in this episode is to regularly clean the igniter and burners of your cooktop. These often get clogged from pots boiling over and the water causes corrosion inside of the burner.
We have also heard from customers that their igniter is constantly clicking when the cooktop is operating. This clickling sound can also be caused by a clogged burner; the igniter needs somewhere for the electricity to go and if the burner to your cooktop is clogged that will prevent it from working properly causing the clicking sound.
Gas burners can be easily cleaned by using brass or wire brush to gently scrape off food debris or corrosion off the burner.
